Streamlining Applications with Microsoft Power Platform

Here at Propensio, we help consumers from all credit backgrounds to obtain the credit they are seeking to fund their project; whether that be a replacement boiler, new UPVC windows, solar panels or a static caravan.

As an intermediary-led business, all our customers are referred by third-party introducers who collect and process the finance applications. This requires significant data entry and, as regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, has to be done accurately, securely and compliantly.

Our existing system can be time intensive, requiring the creation of logins for all referral partners to create and track each consumer application. As more users are created, and removed as time goes on, our administrative task grew exponentially.

We asked InstantOn IT how new processes and tools could be used to improve productivity and compliance.

IOIT built a solution using Microsoft’s Power Platform enabling accurate input of consumer applications by our introducers directly into our proprietary database and developed new secure methods for them to input the necessary information.

Introducers and customers can now complete applications securely and compliantly, and suppliers can quickly check on progress, reducing complexity and management time.

Dave Hindle, our CEO, commented:

“Making it easy for our introducers to submit customer applications to us has always been the vital link in the chain enabling us to provide the service we do for our customers. Propensio is an FCA regulated business and everything we do has to be done compliantly. As we have grown, the admin of the application process had become a truly significant time commitment. Instant On IT has been our IT partner for over 5 years and following close discussions about this, they proposed and built an entirely new interface which has worked smoothly and efficiently from the start. Not only has this saved us time but it has made the end user experience much better.”

About the project, Tom Kell, Power Platform Consultant from InstantOn IT said:

“The ability of Microsoft’s Power Platform and Automation technologies to provide core business process improvements for large and small companies has huge potential; working with Propensio on this strategic process for their operations was a great and effective example that has helped them and their customers.”
